Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information SELK Design & Build ("SELK," "we," "us") collects through this website, how it's used, and who else is involved in that process. It covers this website only.

The only place this website collects personal information is the "Begin a Project" contact form. Submitting it requires:

• Your name
• Your email address
• A project type, chosen from a fixed list
• Your message

We don't ask for a phone number, a mailing address, payment details, or anything else through this website, and there's no way to create an account or sign in.

We use what you submit only to respond to your inquiry — to get in touch, arrange an introduction, and, where appropriate, schedule a site visit. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't sell, rent, or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

When you submit the contact form, your message is sent as an email through Resend (resend.com), a third-party email delivery service, directly to our studio inbox. Resend's role is limited to delivering that one email — SELK is responsible for what happens to your information once it arrives.

Your submission isn't stored in a database by this website. Aside from the email itself, no separate copy is kept by the site.

We're still finalizing exactly how long inquiry emails are kept before being deleted, and we'll update this section with a clear answer once that's settled. If you'd like to know sooner, or would like your information deleted now, contact us using the details below.

This website doesn't use cookies to track or identify visitors.

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall visitor traffic — things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, and what kind of device they're using. This only happens if you actively accept it: when analytics is available, a banner asks for your consent before anything loads, your choice is remembered on your device, and you can decline at any time without affecting your ability to use the site.

This website is hosted by Vercel, whose infrastructure — like almost any web host — processes standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) needed to deliver pages securely. This website doesn't use a CAPTCHA service, a customer-relationship-management (CRM) tool, or any advertising tracker.

Our Instagram and Pinterest links in the footer take you to those platforms directly. Once you click through, your visit there is governed by their own privacy practices, not this one.

If you're a Quebec resident, provincial privacy law (Law 25) gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request that it be corrected. To do either, or if you have any other question about this policy, contact Sara & Eddy using the details below.

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and submissions are transmitted securely to Resend for delivery. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, standard steps to protect what you share with us.

We may update this page as our practices change — particularly once our data-retention approach and legal review (see above) are finalized. Meaningful changes will be reflected with a new draft-prepared date at the top of this page.
